Getting to Bath.

Located in the south-west of England Bath is about 100 miles from London.   Postcoad - BA1

Travelling to Bath by Road:

From London & the North Leave the M4 at Junction 18 follow the A46 for about 8 miles towards Bath joining the A4 into the city. From the West there are also excellent motorway links via the M5 motorway. See our parking in bath page to find the best parking options.

Travelling to Bath by Rail:

Bath Spa train station is in the centre of Bath, just a short walk from Bath's shops and attractions. There are regular train services direct from London Paddington and Waterloo to Bath, with an average journey time of around 90 minutes. Bristol is 15 minutes by train and is also a major hub for travel to all other parts of the country.

Travelling to Bath by Air & Rail:

Bristol International airport has regular regional and European flights and scheduled flights to New York and is 15 miles from Bath.

Heathrow International Airport 90 miles - either take the train from Heathrow to London Paddington (about 20 minutes) then catch the train direct to Bath Spa from Paddington (about 90 minutes) OR take the bus to Reading and catch the train to Bath travelling time is about 2 hours.

Gatwick Airport 120 miles - there is a train station at the airport, take the train to Reading and change for Bath Spa travelling time about 90 minutes.

Travelling to Bath by Sea:

The closest ferry ports are located in Portsmouth approximately 80 miles away (for boats to mainland Europe) and Fishguard approximately 140 miles away (for boats to Ireland). The major port of Dover is 190 miles away.
